The Pat Payne Individualized Reading Program

The Pat Payne Individualized Reading Program is a logical teaching sequence of phonics and skills needed to become a good reader. Patricia (Pat) P. Payne , school teacher, reading specialist, and consultant has been developing this school-tested program for over thirty years. The program may be used as a primary teaching tool for new readers and remedial students needing additional help.

This individualized program has been successful with every type of student, including those who have perceptual problems, other learning problems, ADD, social problems, and difficult home situations. Most students who have been exposed to this program have been extremely successful, raising their reading grade level two to six grade levels in approximately six month's to a year's time. Attitude, self-confidence, as well as, all school work tend to improve as reading levels go up.

The program has been used successfully in primary and secondary schools as well as at home in individual tutorial situations.
